Lady Byrdzetta H. Knotts is born to the late G.L. Byrdsell and Julia Hamilton in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Lady Knotts co-labors in the ministry with her husband, Pastor Anthony Q. Knotts. Along with being Pastor Knotts’ biggest supporter, she serves as a lecturer, intercessor, counselor, and psalmist. Her genuine and loving spirit draws people, including women and men from all walks of life.
Being raised by a God-fearing mother, she was very active in the Baptist church. While under the leadership of Pastor P.A. Samuels and First Lady Gloria Samuels, she was being groomed for the work to which God ultimately called her. “First,” as she is affectionately called by her sons and daughters in ministry, attended North Davidson High School and Forsyth Technical Community College.
In May of 1997, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Pastor Anthony Q. Knotts. In 1998, she worked together with Pastor Knotts in founding what is now The Embassy Church Int’l. She preached her initial sermon in December of 2000, thereby accepting her evangelistic and prophetic call. Lady Knotts’ life experiences and desire for excellence in ministry have helped her to impact numerous ministries at The Embassy Church Int’l. She started and now leads the Women of Worship (W.O.W.) Ministry that focuses on building up women of God on a holistic dimension. She also serves as Elder of Music & Arts Ministries.
Pastor and Lady Knotts have three beautiful children: Teland, Jalen, and Destiny. Her devotion to her family and passion for excellence in ministry, marriage, education, and parenting exemplify the character of a true Virtuous Woman.
